Environmental
Microbiology Department |
main
page |
offers services in the following fields:
 |
Assessment
of microbiological and chemical contamination of housing facilities and
cellars, including health risk assessment (e.g. facilities affected with
fungi, sewage leakage and other wastes) |
 |
Assessment
of microbiological and chemical contamination at work stations including
health risk assessment ( e.g. in
office buildings, at work stations affected with sewage leakage and
other wastes ) |
 |
Environmental
impact assessment of municipal landfills, sewage treatment plants and
other facilities emitting pathogenic microbes (germs) and other
contaminants. Assessment of health risk posed by contamination of
external and internal environment with wastes |
 |
Microbiological
and sanitary analyses of composts, sewage sludge and sludge fertilised
soil |
 |
Complex
assessment of chemical and microbiological contamination and fertility
degree of surface water and groundwater (eutrophication) |
 |
Microbiological
corrosion analyses of emulsion paints and other materials |
 |
Analyses
of soil and groundwater contamination with petroleum hydrocarbons and
remediation projects (bioremediation) – environment-friendly soil
remediation technologies |
 |
Use
of bacterium and microscopic fungus biomass in removal of heavy metals
and toxic pollutants from the environment |
 |
Determination
of petroleum hydrocarbons (PAHs, carcinogenic PAHs, BTEX) in water and
soil using EnSys, Ohmicron, Dtech immunological tests |
 |
Use
of microorgaisms in environmental biotechnology processes –
bioremediation |
Our analyses are based on the latest methods for determination of
microbiological and chemical contaminants in the air, water and soil.
We use new microbiological indices for environmental pollution with
waste germs (sewage, municipal wastes and other). The impact of
wastes on environmental quality is assessed using enhanced
mathematical tools (models).
