Laboratory offers a wide range of analytical
services focused on determination of the following substances:
- Metals (30 metals, including mercury, arsenic and selenium)
- Petroleum hydrocarbon total (paraffin, aromatics)
- Benzene and its homologues (BTEX)
- Volatile organic compounds (VOC), including chlorinated compounds
- Non-volatile fractions of petrochemical products
- Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (according to US EPA list)
- Organic solvents
- Polichlorinated biphenyles (PCB)
- Phenols and chlorophenols
- Chlorinated pesticides
- Elementary carbon and other flammable matters in particulate matter (elementary
carbon and organic compound totals), organic carbon in soil, sediments and
wastes
- Total nitrogen, organic nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen and
ammonium nitrogen in soil, sediments, wastes, water and wastewater
- Total sulphur, sulphide sulphur, sulphate sulphur and elementary sulphur
(in soil, wastes and sediments)
- Cation exchangeable capacity (CEC) and soil sorption complex
- Total phosphorus, organic phosphorus and available phosphorus
- Chemical and agricultural analyses of soil (acidity, available forms of
chemical elements, etc.)
- Detergents in water and wastewater
- Physical properties of various materials (granulometric composition, bulk
and true density, specific surface).
Offer for
providing waste analyses and waste management expertise
Services are rendered by well-qualified and experienced
analysts
The equipment used by the Central Laboratory includes:
-
Varian atomic absorption spectrometer SpektrAA 300, equipped
with a graphite tube, hydride technique and cold vapour set
-
Varian emission spectrometer with inductive plasma and
ultrasonic nebuliser (ICP Liberty 220)
-
Varian spectrophotometer UV-VIS Cary 1
-
Varian gas chromatograph with mass spectrometer (Saturn 3)
-
Hewlett Packard gas chromatograph HP 6890
-
Hewlett Packard liquid chromatograph HP 1050 with
fluorescent and UV-VIS detector
-
Bruker FT-IR Vector 22 spectrometer
-
CEM microwave sample digestion system MDS 2000 (USA)
-
Büchi automatic set for determination of nitrogen using
Kjeldahl’s method
-
HYDROLAB automatic analyser with a pump for water sampling
from piezometers and multi-parameter option (including temperature, pH,
electrical conductivity, redox potential, dissolved oxygen, turbidity)
Apart from the above-mentioned equipment the Central
Laboratory is well equipped for performing analyses using traditional methods.
The Laboratory uses its own testing procedures, US EPA
methodology as well as testing methods, which are in compliance with PN, EN and
ISO standards.
The quality of the performed analyses is controlled using
certified reference materials and by participation in Polish and international
inter-laboratory analyses.
The Central Laboratory took part in research project realised
under IETU co-operation with Norwegian Institute for Air Research, US Department
of Energy, US Environmental Protection Agency, Voest ALPINE (Austria) and Dames
& Moore GmbH & Co (Germany).
We offer negotiable prices and are open to any form of
co-operation.
