Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas offers scientific works,
RTD works and other services in the area of environmental protection
and development.
IETU’s research activity focuses on:
- scientific background for sustainable development
- pollutant transformations in natural environment (water, air,
land surface, soil, plants and forest ecosystems)
- environmental pollution reduction
- environmental impact assessment
- scientific basis for modern ecological policy – improvement
of environmental management tools, including raising public
awareness in the field of ecology and public involvement in
decision-making processes
- development of remediation technologies for degraded areas
