International Ecological Fair POLEKO2006 [added 06.10.2006]

During POLEKO2006 ENVITECH-Net will take an active part as an organizer and co-organizer of the following initiatives:

Conference: European Eco-Innovation Forum: Financing Eco-Innovation, which will be co-organized for the first time with DG Environment as a promotion of the Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP),
Network's stand,
Exhibition: "Science for the Environment", in that:
General Assembly of the ENVITECH-Net ,
Information meeting of the Polish Platform of Environmental Technologies.

This year the ENVITECH-Net stand is very well located as it will be a joint stand with the European Commission (DG Environment), Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas (IETU) and AIRCLIM-Net, in the main pavilion (pavilion no 3), close to the stands of the Polish Ministry of Environment, European Commission, National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, and Environmental Protection Bank (BOS).
The stand will include:

posters related to 5 Network research fields
2 LCD screens (for presentation of the ENVITECH-NET potential and presentation of the thematic posters' content)
seminar room (ca. 20 people)
brochure racks

The network members have been sent the invitation to participation under this framework. In order to learn more or clarify the issues related to this participation the members are asked to submit queries to office@envitech-net.org.
All national R&D organisations and academia, not necesserly associated with ENVITECH-Net, are welcome to participate in the Exhibition: "Science for the Environment", particularly the POSTER SESSION. It will provide an opportunity for RTD units to promote their achievements in the area of environmental protection, eco-innovative technologies and solutions dedicated to industrial branches represented during the Fair as well as a chance to promote a unit as a RTD or implementation project partner.
We encourage you to present your achievements with a special focus on projects financed by EU e.g. under the 6 EU FP or LIFE program. You are also kindly requested to bear in mind a marketing aspect of the Fair and therefore emphasize the usability of solutions presented in your posters and their practical applicability for the recipients of the scientific work outcomes. The POSTER SESSION is organized according to the Network's research fields, i.e.:

Water resources protection: shaping and protection of water resources, use of water and water resources management (e.g. solutions in the field of water and sewage management; monitoring/measurement methods; flood control; integrated tools for water resources management, etc.)
Development of technologies for global climate change prevention (e.g. solutions aimed at . greenhouse gas-free energy production; emission reduction technologies; air quality monitoring; technologies based on renewable energy sources, such as wind, biomass, photovoltaic cells, etc.)
Technologies for sustainable production and consumption (e.g. nanotechnologies; clean processes: products and materials; waste treatment technologies, including hazardous wastes; material recovery technologies)
Soil and groundwater protection technologies (e.g. remediation technologies for contaminated soil and groundwater; technologies for soil degradation and desertification; solutions protecting vulnerable ecosystems; soil quality monitoring techniques)
Cross-cutting research (e.g. information communication technologies for better control of industrial processes such as equipment, probes, control systems; environmental management and monitoring systems; telematic technologies; environmental biotechnologies; socio-economic research related to the environment, etc.)

All the interested parties who will register their posters according to the instructions will be offered a special package which includes:

place for one thematic poster A0 (841 x 1189mm vertical),
entry to the POLEKO catalogue (abstract in Polish and English version, max. 900 characters each sent with the registration ),
entrance ticket for 1 person,
possibility of multimedia presentation of the poster content in a seminar room at ENVITECH-NET's
